Local Opportunities
The NELM area offers a variety of local opportunities to participate in training and learning, to seek employment and take part in activities. See the information below for current opportunities; more details can be obtained by using the contact details.
The Garage
The Garage is an exciting place for young people to get involved and learn loads of new creative skills. Activities take place all year round and there's plenty to do in the school holidays. Activities you can get involved in include:
Singing
Dancing (Everything from hip hop to contemporary)
Acting
Technical Theatre and production skills
Film Making
Stage Make up/costume
Break Dancing
Dj'ing
Slam Nights (Hip Hop themed talent contests)
There are free bursary places available for residents of NELM aged 8 - 19.
